Club Mac of Hampton

Club Mac of Hampton was founded in Hampton, Virginia in 1984. Hampton is located on the Virginia Peninsula, an area rich with history.

The City of Hampton uses Macintosh in their school system.

We are a small, friendly, group.

We generally draw members from Gloucester, Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg, and York County,

The second person to serve as vice president was Ken Sisitka and for many years he was the lifeblood of this club, rejuvinating it twice when it died out.

Over the years we have met at several different locations, including Christopher Newport College (now University), the Old Dominion University Peninsula Graduate Center, and the Hampton Schools Administration building. For the past several years we have been meeting at the Main Hampton Public Library.

When Ken felt it was time for him to devote more time to home matters in late 1996, Jack Dolby, a Mac owner and club member since 1992, inherited the club and has been running it ever since with the assistance of some faithful members.

In December of 2005 Jack officially burnt-out and retired from active Club Mac of Hampton management. At that time, no meetings or newsletters were scheduled.
